The Senior Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the organizations strategic objectives through the implementation of rigorous and effective underwriting practices. This position is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our risk management framework whilst ensuring customercentric approaches remain at the forefront of our operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments and analyses to support informed decisionmaking processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Underwriting to develop and refine risk metrics that align with the organizations risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor changes to underwriting policies and procedures ensuring strict adherence to established guidelines.
- Provide expert guidance and support to senior management across various business units on complex creditrelated matters.
- Develop and maintain robust risk management strategies that effectively balance business growth objectives with prudent risk management practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of the credit portfolio to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present detailed analytical reports to senior management highlighting key risk indicators and trends.
- Ensure all underwriting activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the underwriting team fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
- Maintain an unwavering focus on customer needs and experiences throughout all aspects of the underwriting process ensuring fair and ethical practices are consistently applied.
Qualifications :
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful credit risk strategies
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing highperforming teams
