Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Distribution Manager is responsible for delivering a great brand experience to customers and team members building a cohesive team while driving for results. The Distribution Manager leads our daytoday centralized distribution team and overseeing and optimize operations to ensure efficient accurate and timely distribution of product. This role manages the flow coordinating logistics activities and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. This is an inperson role.
Pay range is $85K or more depending on experience and qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee daily operations of centralized distribution center including receiving storage inventory control order preparation and outbound shipments.
- Guide all aspects of daytoday centralized distribution operations encompassing inbound outbound and supporting departments including special projects.
- Assign work to centralized distribution associates to ensure productivity accuracy excellent customer service a safe work environment and efficient operation.
- Lead the recruiting onboarding and training for new associates.
- Improve business performance and distribution by establishing and monitoring KPIs.
- Collaborate with company leaders to develop and implement strategies to streamline distribution processes and reduce operational costs.
- Provide leadership and input in the development of policies guidelines and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement at the site using problem solving and resolutions.
- Uphold exceptional levels of accuracy safety and performance in daily warehouse functions.
- Prioritize product quality throughout the entire logistics chain including supervising staff to maintain proper handling and inspection procedures to minimize damage and ensure customer satisfaction
- Plan staffing supply and equipment needs based on forecasted volumes.
- Provide daily guidance and handson leadership of distribution operations to ensure the daily workload is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Minimize aging outbound product and quickly problem solve to maximize inventory accuracy & availability for picking while minimizing distribution order fulfillment time.
- Ensure all distribution orders are fulfilled within the expected time frames. This includes all steps from product receipt to putaway to picking to sorting to aggregation to packing for shipment. Call out and followup on exceptions.
- Identify plan and coordinate daily activities of distribution operations and assign work to direct reports.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of management experience in distribution management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in highvolume or multilocation distribution environment.
- Experience with performance metrics and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Associates degree related to from an accredited college or university preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and direct activities of a team.
- Must have strong PC skills including MS Office products MS Teams Word Excel & Power Poin
