Job Description
Overview:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting managing a team of accountants and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. This role will collaborate closely with other departments to provide key financial insights and support the organizations strategic goals.
Heres what youll do:
- Oversee daily accounting activities including journal entries general ledger maintenance reconciliations and monthend closing processes
- Manage the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including intercompany accounts ensuring accuracy across subsidiaries and affiliates
- Ensure proper documentation and control over financial transactions in accordance with internal policies and procedures
- Initiate and track the monthend closing process ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Oversee and monitor daily cash flow including bank reconciliations deposits and payment transactions (wire transfers checks etc.)
- Manage cash forecasting and coordinate with Treasury to ensure liquidity and meet financial obligations
- Oversee the management and analysis of costs associated with the production of goods and services within the company
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards internal controls and regulatory requirements related to cost accounting
- Work closely with IT and other departments to maintain and enhance accounting systems such as ERP software (e.g. Oracle Fusion)
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure effective and efficient workflow within the accounting department
- Supervise mentor and develop a team of accountants ensuring high performance accuracy and professional growth.
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred
5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting or a related field with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Proficiency in Oracle Fusion and SmartView is preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting regulations
Experience in financial reporting audits and compliance
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with teams at all levels
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables vlookups etc.)
Financial operational analysis agricultural accounting experiences a plus
Energetic team player and goal orientated.
Pay Range: $110000 $135000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
