As Operations Support Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of resource process and performance for the Warehouse setting a clear vision and agenda for your department whilst ensuring the continual development of the team and work in partnership with the customer to ensure productivity accuracy and cost targets are met and exceeded.
You will work closely with the General Manager overseeing a period of change and process improvements. This role will require someone with a strategic outlook and experience in working with budgets.
What will you be doing
- Developing and deploying a Warehouse strategy that meets the business objectives of GB whilst ensuring excellent customer satisfaction
- Overseeing the daily warehouse operations whilst taking full responsibility for the P&L Control and improve depot efficiency through effective cost control budgeting and setting of financial Targets
- Responsible for forecast labour planning working closely with the HR team and our preferred Agency supplier to recruit the best fit for our business in line with Labour requirements.
- Responsible for stock held within the warehouse keeping accuracy to the required standard and wright off to a minimum.
- Drive operational excellence and best practice across the business focusing on continuous improvement work streams improving performance in relation to Quality Service & Operational Efficiency.
- Play a key role in group wide initiatives and development projects
- Ensure that your entire team within your responsibility have clear and realistic targets and SLAs and are driven and motivated to achieve them at all times.
- Formulate agree and deliver the performance objectives of your area considering the ways
- In which you can increase the scope and profitability of your area of responsibilitys performance whilst embracing and encouraging change.
- Building continual relationships with your wider teams to ensure that you can effectively
- Contribute to the sites people development plans and succession planning.
- Promote our visions and values leading the way in demonstrating the GB people culture to ensure that all of your wider site team feel valued
- Maintain your awareness of innovative operational developments within the industry in order to suggest leading edge solutions to the customer where appropriate.
- Ensuring all requirements relating to safety health environment and quality are being fully implemented Where any issues arise promote our culture to enable your teams and the
- wider team to lead the way in solving these issues and ensuring a totally safe environment at all times
- Working as part of the management team to ensure all operational process are in place and followed to support the compliance requirements in key internal and external audits.
- Managing of site facilitys budget and schedule of work to ensure the site is in good operating condition at all times.
Qualifications :
- Experience in FMCG/Distribution preferably within the drinks industry
- A motivational forward thinking and adaptable style of leadership consistently investing in your people.
- A good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics.
- Exposure to dealing directly with large customers
- Experience of managing a P&L. both open and closed book
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- Persuading and influencing skills
- Ability to deliver multiple requirements to tight deadlines and react to change
- Ability to work under pressure
- A strategic thinker with the ability to implement ideas rapidly
- Collaborative involved style
- Selfstarter plenty of initiative and drive

- An ability to operate in a range of situations from the shop floor to client reviews

- Have an understanding of the key cost drivers within a business and how to affect them

- Can take a decision based on limited information
- Has the ability to work with a site management team in order to achieve wider business goals that may be detrimental to the warehouse department
