Beal School for the school are searching for educators invested in the achievement equity and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom. The ELC Coordinator would support students with intensive special needs including students with autism spectrum disorders and global developmental delays. The ELC Coordinator would be responsible for implementing programming for students in a substantially separate setting to acquire skills through direct instruction and support students in the inclusion setting to access the curriculum and generalize skills. The ELC Coordinator works collaboratively with other team members to coordinate all services for students in the program. The ELC Coordinator trains and oversees paraprofessionals who provide adult support to students across the school day. Candidates with diverse racial ethnic cultural religious class and/or gender backgrounds and experiences are strongly encouraged to Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Implement specialized instruction in areas of academic skills social skills and behavior management in smallgroup and classroom settingsCreate and implement behavior plans guided by the principles of applied behavior analysis Consult with and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (i.e. classroom teachers SPL OT home service providers) regarding progress goals instruction and behavior plans. Inclusion supports ensuring the carryover and generalization of and support inclusion opportunities along with regular education paraprofessionals by providing direction training for behavior intervention plans and teaching strategies (i.e. DTT TA picture activity schedule) and data collectionCreate classroom schedules for staff and students. Manage daily schedule for paraprofessionals including the coverage and delegation of as a direct liaison to parents (support education updates)Develop and implement IEPs for studentsCollect and analyze data related to both academic and behavioral write and interpret student evaluationsDemonstrate the ability to impact and document student academic progress positivelyDemonstrate excellent communication skills with parents/caretakers and colleaguesDemonstrate a solid understanding of the principles of applied behavior analysis and ways to support student growth within each competency Qualifications include:Provisional Initial or Professional Licensure in Severe Special Education PreK12 from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
