Vision Government Solutions is a leading Government Technology firm providing cuttingedge software and services to the public sector. Our organization is quickly ramping growth and we are looking for people to join our team to help us do that successfully.
About the Role:
Vision is experiencing significant growth in Ohio and we are seeking a Technical Support Specialist in this region. This role provides software support for Ohio Vision products with additional focus on tax bill specialization. The right candidate will design maintain and implement tax bills for our growing client base requiring strong XML experience. In addition this software specialist will work directly with colleagues clients and vendors to create standards for tax bill templates and ensure a smooth tax bill process for our clients.
Responsibilities include:
Providing application support to Ohio Vision customers
Correcting customer tax bill issues
Assisting with clientspecific tax bill projects including custom forms and documents
Collaborating with customers and vendors to successfully implement interfaces such as automated imports or data extracts
Designing developing and deploying standardized and adhoc client tax bill templates
Working with the Vision Development team to implement relevant updates and help guide product improvements
Jumping in to help the team and the company succeed whenever possible we thrive on team flexibility
An ideal candidate for this role will have the following abilities and traits:
Skills and Ambitions:
Experience in a SQLfocused role
Solid knowledge of TSQL and SQL Server Management Studio
Strong understanding XML for tax bill data structure and content
Familiarity with Oracle SQL*Plus is desired but not required
Understanding of relational database concepts
Ability to thrive in a role with constantly shifting priorities
Exceptional time management as some deadlines are not flexible
Attention to detail
Impressive oral and written communication skills
Desire to work in a dynamic team environment with communication and trust
Keen analytical problemsolving skills
Ability to communicate and translate ideas between technical and nontechnical parties
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field preferred
SQL Server 2012/SSRS/SSIS/JIRA/GitHub/Confluence experience is a plus
Must be able to work inoffice 13 days/ week in Findlay Ohio with occasional travel to clients in the vicinity
