About the Role

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist ECMO Specialist you will play a central role on our pediatric ECMO team providing advanced cardiopulmonary support to critically ill children. Youll work in highacuity settings collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team and contribute to lifesaving interventions using stateoftheart ECMO technology.

What Youll Do

  • Deliver highquality respiratory care to pediatric patients in critical and emergent situations.

  • Operate and manage ECMO equipment during lifesaving procedures as part of a specialized care team.

  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals on patient treatment plans and interventions.

  • Participate in clinical decisionmaking patient advocacy and continuous quality improvement.

  • Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced therapists supporting skill development and clinical excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies protocols and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.

  • Prior experience in pediatric critical care or ECMO environments strongly preferred.

  • Commitment to excellence precision and compassionate teambased care.
