What you will be doing:

As a Senior Manager of Data Center Key Accounts you will grow Caterpillars global data center market leadership through strategy development and execution for Electric Powers named data center accounts. You will lead a global team of Account and Portfolio Managers with responsibility to manage customer and dealer relationships on a global scale representing the breadth of Caterpillars Electric Power product and service portfolio. In doing so this job will involve the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage and meet Electric Power Division (EPD)business plan for your assigned Data Center named accounts including revenue margin price realization and period cost targets.

  • Lead and develop your Global Account Management (GAM) team in all aspects to deliver on goals by securing win/win/win outcomes for Cat Cat Dealers and our key Data Center customers.

  • Negotiate execute and manage customer contracts including framework agreements by working in close collaboration with legal services.

  • Manage the onboarding process for new dealers that have named data center accounts entering their service territory. This includes capacity and capability assessments to ensure the customer gets a consistent VIP experience wherever they go in the world.

  • Develop coverage and execution strategy for each account to leverage technical project management commercial and aftermarket resources to maximize Caterpillars share of their business and in turn our revenue and profit.

  • Coordinate with Cat factory and Solutions Network resources to ensure we meet delivery commitments for each of your teams accounts. (generator set through to complete packaged solution).

  • Work with colleagues with diverse backgrounds experiences and cultures internally and externally to ensure our customers continue to see Caterpillar as their best choice for their power needs. Good human relations skills are to develop a collaborative/cooperative work relationship with Caterpillar partners and customers as we pursue win/win outcomes for all.

  • Keep up to date with new industry trends changing technology and regulations affecting the competitive environment. Transfer industry knowledge into product and capacity planning discussions.

What you will have:

  • Accredited engineering or business degree or 10 years progressive relevant experience

  • Extensive experience in Electric Power and/or Data Center applications.

  • Experience in team leadership

  • Previous field and/or account management experience with Caterpillar Dealers and Customers in the Electric Power industry. Strong understanding of dealer operations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills business acumen and attention to detail.

  • Must be able to deal with sensitive issues mentor and coach and persuade others on new methods of equipment application new technology and distribution methods.

  • Requires extensive travel (50%) to lead a global team and support customers that operate around the world.

What Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Understanding data center design topologies and CAT Electric Power product application within the data center industry.

  • Previous experience with contract negotiation and risk assessment.
