The ALX organization is looking for a UX Designer to join our team. Our design work has a direct impact on the lives of millions of Amazonians helping them achieve worklife harmony and advance in their careers. We build intelligent products and services that offer a consumergrade user experience and use science to manage talent development. You will join a team of passionate designers and researchers to create products to address the sheer scale of HR at Amazon while providing engaging personal and human experiences.
Were looking for a UX Designer to wake up every day thinking about the employee experience at Amazon. You will be responsible for cultivating and crafting the vision for the next generation product suite and leading the execution of that vision. Youre an experienced UX Designer who continues to learn new techniques and follows trends in the industry. You will be responsible for the design of the endtoend employee experience. Youll craft elegant design solutions across a range of personas and platforms at global scale and collaborate closely with product and engineering partners as well as multiple partner teams within the broader People Experience Technology (PXT).
To succeed in this role you must be an innovative selfstarter in driving operational excellence and a strategic bigpicture thinker. Our environment requires the skills to work collaboratively and the commitment to take ownership when needed.

Key job responsibilities
Assume ownership for the design of endtoend product experiences and features.
Lead design through all phases of the product development lifecycle from discovery to launch.
Champion usercentered design culture.
Drive creative process and collaboration with crossfunctional partners to propose new ideas and strategies.
Model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in their team and raises the design bar for the organization.
Create and drive adoption of design guidelines mechanisms best practices process and tools.
8 years of design experience
Have an available online portfolio
Experience with design tools such as Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML JavaScript CSS Ajax
Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
