Allagash Brewing Company in Portland Maine is hiring a senior individual contributor role serving as our subject matter expert in compliance ensuring our operations across manufacturing wholesale and retail remain aligned with local state and federal regulations in the alcoholic beverage industry. Your work will touch every corner of our businessfrom maintaining licenses and permits to ensuring federal filings with the TTB are submitted with accuracy and timeliness. Youll be the primary advisor to leadership on compliancerelated risks and strategies acting as both a guide and a protector of our values and commitments.
Youll oversee compliance for each area where we do business including evaluating sales and marketing practices supporting our export efforts and leading the licensing process in both Maine and outofstate territories. Whether its crafting standard operating procedures for a product recall guiding donation practices or managing bottle bill redemption compliance youll bring confidence and clarity to complex regulatory matters. Youll work closely with external counsel on matters like trademark registration and contract review while building and maintaining internal systems to organize all compliance documents and processes.
In this role youll partner crossfunctionally with teams like Sales Marketing Operations and Leadership ensuring theyre empowered with the information they need to move forward with confidence. Youll maintain a working knowledge of every states regulatory environment serve as a Power of Attorney with the TTB hold Notary Public status and act as an authorized signer for banking and licensing purposes. Your presence on crossfunctional teams will help shape strategic decisionsensuring that compliance isnt just a checkbox but a thoughtful part of how we grow and innovate responsibly.
This is a fulltime position and the schedule is MondayFriday between regular business hours. This position is based in our Portland office and is 100% in the office for the first 6 months after which time it will be eligible for a hybrid schedule.
