We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual so being flexible curious and a good listener are key.

Where: Brighton

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range: 27861.26 32002.35

Contract Type: Permanent

* Please note: Fulltime hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For parttime roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Build relationships with and work alongside local community and faithbased groups to engage with ethnic minority people who use our services
  • Engage with ethnic minority people who use our services to understand their support needs carry out assessments and facilitate access to addiction recovery treatment and interventions
  • Support local community and faithbased groups to better understand local drug and alcohol support treatment pathways and harm minimisation approaches
  • When appropriate work with the wider family and friends support group of people who use our services to promote their recovery
  • Work in collaboration with a range of services and professionals to coordinate the drug and alcohol treatment of an allocated caseload of people using our services
  • Provide support and interventions to people who use our services individually or in groups
  • Work with your wider team and other relevant services across Brighton & Hove to provide treatment options for people in need of support but not yet accessing treatment with our services
  • Record monitor and report on agreed performance indicators

About you:

  • A good understanding of the wider support needs of people who use our services beyond drug and alcohol treatment
  • A flexible approach to assertively engaging people who use our services those not yet accessing treatment and those who may be hardtoreach
  • Good verbal and written language skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with local community and faithbased groups around treatment pathways for people from ethnic minorities
  • Local knowledge of Brighton & Hove and relevant services
  • Understanding discrimination stigma barriers and the intersecting issues facing people who use our services who are from minority ethnic backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate learning and insights from the role to the wider CGL workforce
