The Translational Addiction Research Laboratory (TARL) within the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at CAMH is seeking one fulltime contract (1 year) Research Analyst to support multiple addiction clinical trials. Reporting to the TARL manager and the Principal Investigator the successful candidate will ensure that the research is performed according to the approved protocols. The Research Analyst will be directly involved in recruitment and screening of study participants scheduling participant interviews obtaining informed consent administering study questionnaires and performing other study specific procedures. Additional tasks may involve supporting REB submissions dealing with internal and external stakeholders and small administrative tasks. The Research Analyst will support a workplace that embraces diversity encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory requirements. This position is primarily located at 100 Stokes Street with the possibility of supporting TARL research at 250 College Street.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors degree and at least 1 year of clinical research experience. Previous experience working with human participants is required. Experience in the conduct of clinical studies is required. Experience administering Standardized Clinical Interviews for DSMIV or 5 (SCIDIV or 5) and other clinical assessment scales is required. Experience working with patients with mental health and/or drug addiction is preferred. Experience in assisting with REB submissions and Clinical Trials Application (CTA) preparation is an asset. This position requires very strong interpersonal skills combined with welldeveloped critical thinking abilities flexibility and initiative. Candidates require the ability to explain complex issues in plain language both verbally and in writing. Candidates will possess the ability for selfdirected learning/working as well as collaboration and teamwork. Candidates require the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. This position requires fulltime onsite presence. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
