CAMHs Brain Health Imaging Centre (BHIC) is a world leader in clinical brain imaging including positron emission tomography (PET) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) preclinical imaging digital autoradiography and radiochemistry production. The Centres mission is to advance the understanding of brain health and mental wellbeing through cuttingedge imaging technologies with a commitment to conducting innovative research providing exceptional patient care and fostering collaboration within the scientific and medical communities.
The fulltime permanent Research Manager will report to the BHIC Research Operations Manager and the BHIC Director. The successful candidate will support BHIC scientists and be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of their teams which encompasses human resource management including recruitment and performance management of staff; onboarding; grant and Centre accounting monitoring and reporting; monitoring key performance indicators; supporting quality and safety initiatives; providing coordination and leadership to teams; liaise with necessary stakeholders and project partners (internal and external); and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also provide expertise for submissions and responses to regulatory aspects and processes related to human PET and MRI imaging studies (e.g. CTA MF and BRAP as well as License and Importing submissions to Health Canada study protocol submissions to REB support for CNSC inspections and compliance etc.) and expertise in the daytoday operations of laboratories and related procedures.
This position will be expected to work closely with BHIC scientists BHIC core staff and other Managers across Research to align processes and operations when applicable. In addition to this the successful candidate will support the BHIC Director as needed for other initiatives including grant and foundation submissions budgets etc. The successful candidate will also be expected to work cooperatively with other stakeholders to meet and maintain institutional and departmental requirements and regulatory standards including but not limited to: Finance Human Resources Information Technology Office of Professional Practice Biosafety Health Safety & Wellness Contract Development Research Ethics Board and Research Operations Support & Services (ROSS). This position is located at 250 College Street and is an onsite (not remote) position.
