Essential Duties:
- Support Specialist: Performs all assigned duties of junior IT support personnel including user support installation testing and debugging of equipment and systems as well as documentation network administration training and enterprisewide support for one or more technical applications.
- Troubleshooting technical issues: Diagnosing and resolving problems with computers software applications network connectivity printers and other IT equipment.
- User Support: This involves answering user questions providing technical guidance and assisting with basic computer operations. It requires maintaining a high level of technical expertise and may involve acting as the organizations primary contact for a specific technical application such as Microsoft suite of products. Additionally this role includes providing training and assistance to other IT personnel who work with this application.
- Collaboration with other teams: Work with system administrators network engineers and application developers to resolve complex issues requiring crossfunctional collaboration.
- Software installation and updates: Installing new software applications managing software updates and ensuring compatibility across systems.
- Hardware maintenance: Performing basic hardware troubleshooting identifying faulty components and coordinating repairs with vendors.
- Network administration: Managing user accounts network access and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
- Data backup and recovery: Assisting with data backup procedures and providing support in case of data loss
- Security management: Enforcing security policies managing user access and educating users on cybersecurity best practices
- Project Participation: Contributing to system migration projects new technology implementations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Documentation and knowledge base updates: Creating and maintaining user guides technical documentation and knowledge base articles
- Continuous Improvement: Aims to enhance the efficiency of IT systems across the organization by implementing preventative maintenance providing user training and assessing the effectiveness of current systems.
- Remote support: Providing technical assistance to users remotely through tools like remote desktop software
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to diagnose and resolve userrelated problems in a timely accurate manner.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Solid technical expertise in both hardware and software.
- Sound communications skills with the ability to provide technical information to nontechnical personnel.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask required.
- Must be highly organized proactive and collaborative.
- Indepth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree (required) in IT Administration or related field
- 1 3 years experience in providing I.T. support to a diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in PC maintenance and diagnostics installation and troubleshooting of various hardware or software problems and documentation of procedures.
