Job Description

Introduction

Who we are looking for

Were looking for an Operations Technical Solutions Officer. The role will support our water and sewage treatment operations and environmental activities to help us meet our legal and operational performance objectives.

The position is fulltime for 12months and based in Warrnambool. The role offers a generous salary of $88863 to $96615 p.a. plus superannuation.



Description

What youll be doing

On a daytoday basis youll:

  • Monitor performance of both water and sewagetreatment plants.
  • Provide advice on continuous improvement of water and sewerage treatment plants based on scientific analysis of water quality parameters.
  • Assist our regional operations teams with scientific advice particularly with regards to wastewater microbiology and water quality chemistry.
  • Assist with emergency response including chemical and sewage spills environmental discharges and blue green algal blooms.



Skills And Experiences

What youll bring

Were looking for someone with

  • Qualifications in the field of science engineering or sound water industry skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience in the analysis of chemical and/or microbiological processes.
  • The ability to document and report scientific analysis in a manner which is accessible to a wide audience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
