Whats the role

As a Senior Market Data Systems Engineer youll join the Market Data Services team responsible for delivering and maintaining market data infrastructure including distribution platforms enterprise feeds trading venues FIX posttrade feeds and desktop products.

This role supports and maintains market data infrastructure resolves escalated desktop issues and delivers upgrades and new deployments in line with business and vendor needs. It involves regular troubleshooting weekend change activities and ensuring systems remain secure and reliable.

Youll also manage monitoring capacity planning and APIbased integration using LSEG (Refinitiv) and Bloomberg tools. The position includes afterhours support and collaboration with inclusive global teams across regions like London Singapore New York and New Zealand.

What do I need

Success in this role requires experience in market data technology support within banking or finance or a development background with an interest in financial markets and a willingness to learn.

• Extensive experience as a senior engineer in a similar banking or financial services environment.
• Experience supporting applications on Red Hat Linux and Bash scripting in collaborative environments.
• Skilled in supporting market data tools like Refinitiv Eikon Bloomberg and IRESS with a usercentred focus.
• Proficient in designing integration solutions with LSEG (Refinitiv) and Bloomberg APIs (e.g. RFA SDKs BPipe BLPAPI).
• Versatile in programming languages such as Java C Python C# and Visual Basic for varied project needs.
• Experienced with Microsoft 365 especially Excel macros and addins to boost productivity.
• Strong technical knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS fostering team collaboration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in highpressure environments with a solid understanding of ITIL service management including incident change and problem management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholders vendors and tech teams.
