PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts Integrated Logistics segment Procurementand thedesign andmanufactureof Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals Tubes & Hardware Hose & Couplings Fluids and Filters).

Job Summary:

• As a Facility Procurement Professional you will manage supply network procurement related activities for assigned facilities to deliver procurement excellence and integration between Global Supply Network Division (GSND) and the team supporting Facility / Divisional Leaders. Deliver a lean responsive and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points. Demonstrate leadership in recognizing the potential for cost and inventory reductions and quality improvement as well as responsibility for soundness of business proposals and risk assessment.

What You Will Do:

• Accountable for operating and monitoring the Global Supply Network procurementfunctions as designed to meet the defined response time cost quality and lean targets enabling optimaland efficient facility operations collaborating with business partners and suppliers and resolving facilityspecific supplier issues.
• Act as liaison with corresponding Category & Product Purchasing and LogisticsProfessionals.
• Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager and will be accountable for implementing the network as designed related to specific strategies from both Category & Product Supply at the Facility level to create a competitive advantage for our customers.
• Through a strong knowledge of the product NPI (New Product Introduction) Category and Logistics Strategies theincumbent will support and participate in projects/initiatives to fully satisfy facilities expectations.
• Assistin the management of local subcontractors with input from the Category buyer related to the overallstrategy.
• Collaborate with supply chain in helping to understand & monitor inventory levels in order to helprelate it back to the overall network in terms of short dating past dues and supplier shipping & deliveryperformance.
• Provide expertise in the launching & management of purchase orders fora facility to in terms of parts related to pilots production and supplier tooling ensuring terms arecorrect.

What You Have (Required Skills):

• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• Datadriven Decision Making: Knowledge of the datadriven decisionmaking process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Ex: SAP Lognet QAD or MACH1. Knowledge of the processes practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
• Supplier Management MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge experience and skills into real practice.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

• Minimum 3 years of jobrelated and purchasing experience
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
• Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management preferred e.g.; Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Integration Resource Management (CIRM) or comparable international certification is preferred.
• Affiliation with Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and American Production and Inventory ControlSociety (APICS) or comparable professional purchasing organization preferred.
• Previous 6 Sigma Greenbelt/Black Belt experience preferred
• Knowledge of Quality Lean manufacturing an understanding of lean principles is preferred
• Incumbent must have welldeveloped communication skills
