Direct Report: Food & Beverage Manager

Tacoma Country & Golf Club is as proud of our past as we are excited about our future. Dating to 1894 Tacoma Country & Golf Club has been occupying this beautiful property on the shores of American Lake for well over a century. TCGC is the oldest established Golf Club West of the Mississippi.

Golf is central to the member experience at Tacoma Country & Golf Club. We feature an 18hole championship golf course that stretches beyond 6900yards from the back tees. Accomplished players will love the test they find on our links while players of all skill levels will find a playable course that is enjoyable round after round.

Tacoma Country & Golf Club (TCGC) operates a banquet kitchen and a full service memberonly restaurant. Throughout the property there are many banquet rooms and facilities used for events. We offer a fun energetic and welcoming culture here at the Club which helps create and maintain relationships with our members and their guests. Tacoma Country & Golf Club has a very active membership in the summer months with business levels thinning out in the Winter months as the membership heads south. The food quality here at TCGC is one of our focal points and the membership is quick to comment on their love of the restaurant and level of service we extend to them! Our Executive Chef has been with the Club for 15 years loves to fish and is active in changing the weekly specials and menus to reflect the seasons.


Position Summary

The server is responsible for restaurant service. The Server is expected to execute & direct 1894 service in accordance with the Clubs policies and procedures to ensure profitability guest satisfaction and positive teammember relations.


Position Responsibilities Tasks and Duties

Set up server station (including coffee station) and perform assigned side work.

Provide immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating.

Answer questions and suggest menu items.

Take member and guests orders.

Place orders to the kitchen via POS (Jonas) and inform cooks of any dietary restrictions or allergies.

Assemble food on trays when expediter is busy.

Serves meal; places dishes by course in front of each person with corresponding flatware.

Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.

Removes soiled dishes.

Suggests and serves dessert coffee and after dinner drinks.

Keeps tables dining room and stations clean.

Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.

Capable of multitasking and working at a fast but thorough pace.

Help with Banquet set ups including but not limited to polishing silverware and glassware.

Attend preshift meetings.

Have comprehensive wine and liquor knowledge and adheres to all state liquor laws.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum High School Graduation or equivalent AND related Restaurant experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education/experience.

A minimum of 2 years restaurant service.

Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations and industry

Possess an outgoing friendly professional personality

Highly energetic selfstarter with the ability to work well in a teamoriented fast paced eventdriven environment

MAST 12 certified Required

Pierce County issued Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe certified Required

Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays with variable overtime per business needs


Compensation and Benefits

This is a parttime position
$16.6616.66 per hour
