Business Unit Manager Open Executive Education

Vlerick Business School is an innovative topranked and sustainable international business school in the heart of Europe. Our purpose is to transform people for a better world! Vlerick is a school but it is run as a company aligned with the high standards we foster in our different management programmes for professionals. We are looking for a driven Business Unit Manager to lead our Open Executive Education team. This team of 15 international and diverse talents markets sells designs and delivers over 60 management programmes for professionals across more than 10 management domains.

Your mission

  • Lead the Business Unit with a focus on securing revenue contribution reputation and learning quality and impact.
  • Be (end) responsible for meeting the overall BU targets the marketing & sales KPIs and design & delivery KPIs.
  • Lead the yearly strategy and budget cycle and monitor and report on budget progress on a monthly basis.
  • Translate the strategic priorities of the school to a BUspecific strategy emphasising internationalisation digitalisation sustainability and learning impact. Actively contribute to the school achieving its growth ambitions.
  • Manage support and coach a diverse and international team of 15 professionals.
  • Align with a broad variety of internal stakeholders and ensure their buyin and commitment to the Business Units ambitions. You work closely together with our faculty our Service Centre and marketing team in the AZ process of successfully delivering our programmes.
  • Build partnerships with other business schools companies and other relevant partners to ensure internationalisation and digitalisation ambitions are met and we are able to deliver the highest impact for our customers.
  • Represent the school in strategic alliances such as the FOME alliance and during external conferences in the field of Executive Education.
  • Bring new market insights and customer insights to the team and use them to drive business decisions.

You

  • Have a proven track record of minimum 10 years of professional experience preferably in Executive Education.
  • Have outstanding people management capabilities and experience in working with international and diverse teams. Working with and for people energizes you.
  • Lead by example in commercial activities and networking opportunities (lead conversion networking events ).
  • Are financially savvy and familiar with budgeting and performance management.
  • Are data savvy and can quickly make sense of financial data and marketing and sales metrics.
  • Actively build a strong network with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay on top of the trends in the fields of management and L&D and develop a future outlook on our executive education programmes.
  • Can proactively identify and realize new opportunities for business growth challenge the status quo and make change happen.
  • Are passionate about designing and delivering impactful programmes of the highest quality and are driven by customer satisfaction.
  • Are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
