Worcester Technical High Schoolis seeking a passionate and dedicatedEducational Assistantto join our team and support our thriving Culinary Arts program. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students as they explore the exciting world of food and hospitality. In this role the candidate will work closely with the Culinary Arts instructor to provide essential support for classroom activities handson learning and our unique apprenticeship program at thePines Cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Culinary Arts instructor with the delivery of curriculum and classroom activities.
Provide direct support to students during practical cooking and baking sessions ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Actively participate in theapprenticeship program at the Pines Cafe assisting students with their onthejob training and skill development.
Support the preparation of highquality food items for service at thePines Cafe adhering to established recipes and food safety standards.
Assist with administrative tasks related to thePines Cafe includingbilling and invoicing.
Help maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen and classroom environment.
Collaborate with the instructor to ensure the smooth operation of the Culinary Arts program.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the program and students.
Qualifications:

A degree or significant experience in professional cooking baking or food service ispreferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of culinary techniques food safety practices and kitchen operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with students staff and the public.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude patience and a genuine interest in working with students.
