Description
The Doorman is responsible for providing a welcoming and professional first impression for guests. This role combines hospitality and security responsibilities by assisting guests with parking opening doors and providing directions or support as needed. The ideal candidate ensures a smooth flow of traffic safeguards guest property and maintains a polished helpful presence at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival and departure.
- Provide professional aggressive hospitality in an attentive friendly and efficient manner to all guests.
- Open doors for guests and assist with luggage when necessary.
- Assist guest with transportation to offsite locations using only approved taxi/limo service.
- Monitor the entrance area to ensure a clean organized and safe environment.
- Offer directions answer questions and assist with guest needs or concerns.
- Must be knowledgeable of all local attractions restaurants and entertainment ideas in the area.
- Must be knowledge of hotel layout meeting rooms amenities services main attractions in the area parking rates etc.
- Communicate effectively with front desk concierge and security teams.
- Report any suspicious activity or safety hazards to management.
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have prior experience working in a luxury hospitality setting
- Must have ability to speak read and write in standard English language
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal & written in English)
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in inclement weather
- Pass a preemployment drug screen and background check
- Ability to stand walk and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Must have friendly professional and reliable attitude.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor and indoor settings; subject to weather conditions.
- Requires physical activity such as walking standing and lifting.
