Job Description

For a strategic client in the Netherlands we are seeking a skilled Painting Inspector to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of painting and coating applications on critical infrastructure.
This role is vital in maintaining the integrity and longevity of assets by preventing corrosion and other surface degradations.

As a Painting Inspector you will be responsible for inspecting surface preparations and coating applications to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects by ensuring that all painting activities meet the required quality and safety benchmarks.

Tasks

Conduct inspections of surface preparations and painting applications to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Utilize inspection tools such as dry film thickness gauges adhesion testers and holiday detectors to assess coating quality.

Monitor environmental conditions (e.g. temperature humidity dew point) to ensure optimal application conditions.

Review and interpret technical documents including paint specifications safety data sheets and inspection and test plans.

Document inspection findings prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Collaborate with project teams to address and resolve any paintingrelated issues.

Ensure that all painting activities adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in painting inspection within the Oil & Gas industry.

Indepth knowledge of painting materials application methods and industry standards (e.g. SSPC NACE ISO).

Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment related to painting and coating assessments.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.

Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Availability for onsite work in the Netherlands.
