Were currently looking for a AWS Cloud Architect to join our team in Franklin TN.
As part of Nissans AWS Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) the AWS Senior Cloud Platform Architect is responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of Nissan Digitals initiatives in cloud computing and automation with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms.
The Senior Cloud Architect reports into the Nissan Digital organization but would be embedded into the Cloud Architecture CCOE effort to provide architectural leadership and best practices building scalable available and secure architecture solutions based on Architectural standards availability of services cost network security storage and governance considerations.
Additionally the AWS Senior Cloud Platform Architect will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities:
1. Guides and coaches less experienced peers to become more productive and effective team members
2. Proactively engages with other Service Teams
3. Designs and implements architectural solutions using AWS design principles and architectural best practices and industry standards
4. Contributes to design and implements solutions based on Architectural best practices and AWS well architected framework
5. Provides guidance on most aspects of AWS Cloud infrastructure offerings
6. Leads the design and implementation of available cost efficient fault tolerant and scalable distributed systems
7. Leads delivers and supports Cloud Architecture solution based on defined standards for Cloud COE from an Application and Infrastructure perspective
8. Leads and delivers large architectural initiatives that solve key customer needs
9. Design develop and continuously optimize on Architectural solution
10. Leads implementation of rearchitect large existing applications on Cloud to AWS
11. Leads implementation of Lift and shift of existing onpremises application to AWS
12. Leads implementation of ingress and egress data to and from AWS
13. Leads analysis of application portfolios identifies dependencies & common infrastructure platform components and assesses migration feasibility
14. Partners with existing enterprise IT organization to integrate Cloud infrastructure/network environment with corporate infrastructure / data center environment
15. Leads the design of reference Architecture and provide input to the DevOps team for implementation of codified stacks that meet the needs of the applications
16. Understands and leads Cost/Benefit modelling with mapping to business KPIs
17. Educates the team to design and implement architectures based on best practices. Provides handson technical coaching to accelerate Cloud learning across the Cloud COE
18. Leads Cloud Security Champions. Develops a community of Cloud Champions across the Cloud COE
Experience and Job Requirements:
710 years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines including technical architecture network management application development middleware database management or operations
Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience designing available cost efficient fault tolerant and scalable distributed systems
Experience in Architecting and building IaaS and PaaS solutions
Prior experience of managing challenges of migrating systems and workloads to the Cloud
Experience with AWS IaaS platform
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC)
Deep understanding of Cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges
Knowledge of AWS Well Architected Framework and Cloud migration industry standards and best practices
Prior programming background in at least ONE language: C Java Python Ruby etc.
Technical writing skills for documenting environments and procedures
Deep handson experience in leading the design development and deployment of business software at scale
Deep handson experience of technology infrastructure network compute storage and virtualization
Deep experience with Cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline required
Certification:
AWS Certified Solution Architect
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (desired but not required)
AWS Certified Security Specialist (desired but not required)
Travel:
Periodic travel as required
