Position Overview

This is a fulltime firstshift role for a Lab Technician at Spirit Electronics located in Phoenix AZ. The Lab Tech will play a vital role in the reliability lab for the inspection testing and analysis of microelectronics semiconductors EEE components and circuit card assemblies. The Lab Tech performs testing and operations including sample preparation setup testing data recording analysis and reporting. Tests include MILSTD883 test methods JEDEC and other industrystandard procedures as well as customerspecified requirements. The Lab Tech will operate electrical test equipment environmental chambers and inspection equipment (Xray CSAM SEM) and record results for analysis to meet the requirements established by the labs engineers. This role requires attention to detail technical expertise and the ability to work efficiently in a qualityminded manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for the data collection and analysis on samples and reporting them out to the engineering teams. Lastly this role will be responsible for maintaining supplies equipment calibration and meeting the customer delivery dates.

Due to US Export control laws must be a US Citizen Permanent Resident or have protected status


Responsibilities

  • Conduct reliability testing on electronic components according to MILSTD883 relevant industry standards and work order specifications
  • Perform electrical mechanical environmental and inspection tests on components and assemblies
  • Operate reliability equipment environmental chambers and other lab machinery
  • Devise voltage biasing and current monitoring on jobs
  • Set up burnin drivers programmed drivers and test boards
  • Maintain assets under preventative maintenance and periodic calibration cycles
  • Bench test boards and hardware
  • Operate workflows processes and machinery to quality management requirements and documented procedures
  • Collect record and analyze test data utilizing specialized software and ERP system
  • Assist in the preparation of test samples and fixtures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed test logs and reports
  • Collaborate with engineers to interpret test results and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure compliance with personnel and product safety protocols including ESD and FOD control and other quality control procedures
  • Assist in the development and improvement of testing methodologies
  • Support the lab in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to increase efficiency and reduce errors
Requirements
  • 3 of experience in electronics and semiconductor testing or related field
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering engineering or related field preferred
  • Experience with MILSTD883 and JEDEC stress tests environmental testing and test flows
  • Experience with bench test apparatus oscilloscope power supplies and logic analyzers
  • Experience with burnin board drivers and programming desirable nondestructive testing a plus
  • Experience in reliability stress techniques
  • Experience working within quality and manufacturing standards such as AS9100
  • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge Control FOD Control and product safety practices
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and good handeye coordination
