PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE PRIMARY CARE (PSR)MIT Health is responsible for patient flow and appointment scheduling; front desk tasks including checkin collecting copays and obtaining accurate insurance eligibility information; administrative tasks including phone calls data entry insurance reviews filing and scheduling appointments and procedures to coordinate within and across providers service areas and healthcare facilities; has extensive patient contact both in person and by telephone; interacts with internal and external stakeholders by effectively communicating with referral providers and practices to facilitate management of complex patient issues; and provides positive and effective customer service that supports departmental operations.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED equivalent; a minimum of two years of relevant experience (e.g. customer service or administrative); ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and to communicate with patients clinicians and other professional staff in a pleasant calming and diplomatic manner; solid organizational skills and the ability to follow through and complete tasks; math proficiency ability to add subtract multiply and divide with accuracy; ability to work independently or within a team environment and to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.Job #249404
The PSR will work five 8 hour shifts.
Salary Range: $22.13$24.00/hr final salary determined by MITs compensation team based on the skills and experience of the person hired.
