Job Summary: The Sales Project Manager plays a key role within the Sales and Planning teams responsible for preparing Sales Releases and managing the planning scheduling and execution of customer orders and projects originated by the Sales Team. Primary Responsibilities: - Review and gain a thorough understanding of project specifications scope and contractual terms.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team on RFQs including assistance with costing and response documentation.
- Prepare internal Sales Releases and lead project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment across departments.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and internal teams regarding scheduling updates and project status.
- Oversee projects throughout their lifecycle ensuring any scope changes are documented and processed through formal change order requests.
- Conduct periodic visits to the production plant to monitor progress and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate postproduction activities including Testing Painting Detailing and Final Quality Control with Operations.
- Collaborate with Engineering to provide necessary project details and address engineering issues or discrepancies.
- Schedule programming and dry testing in coordination with Operations and Engineering.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement of parts by working closely with Purchasing and the Materials Manager.
- Resolve partsrelated issues in partnership with Engineering and the Materials Manager.
- Facilitate and coordinate customer visits as required.
- Support the Sales Team at conventions and trade shows including setup and teardown.
- Assist with invoicing for repair jobs and support logistics related to truck deliveries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience: - Technical knowledge of aircraft refueling systems and components.
- Proven project management experience.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with customers and internal departments including Sales Engineering Materials and Production.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Delivery of completed aircraft refueling trucks that meet all customer specifications without rework or discrepancies.
- Creation of thorough and accurate Sales Releases to minimize change orders.
- Direct contribution to overall company performance and profitability.
Travel Requirements: - Occasional travel required (23 times per year).
