We are seeking a dependable and serviceoriented Offsite Linen Worker to join our team at the CHOA Scottish Rite Hospital laundry location. This role is vital to the cleanliness efficiency and overall linen supply chain supporting patient care. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills a proactive attitude and a commitment to maintaining high standards in healthcare environments.
Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital departments
Collect soiled linen and return to designated areas in covered carts
Verify delivery quantities and conduct routine linen inventory
Uphold quality and safety standards at all times
Identify and help resolve client issues promptly and professionally
Maintain clean safe and organized workspaces
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding issues or quality concerns
Assist with operating equipment as needed
Perform light clerical duties (e.g. answering phones basic computer tasks)
Follow all institutional protocols and Joint Commission Standards
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required
12 years of experience in healthcare laundry manufacturing or similar environments preferred
Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 400 lbs
Physical stamina to stand walk bend and lift for extended periods
Willingness to work evenings weekends holidays and rotating shifts
Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
