The role
We seek an experienced and visionary Application Architect to play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of our platform as we work to transition from a monolithic to a modern microservicesbased architecture. This role is crucial to the success of our platforms growth shaping its future and driving its evolution. In addition to technical expertise the ideal candidate will foster a collaborative team culture from promoting inperson connections within our local engineering teams to driving international collaboration with worldwide engineers.
You will collaborate closely with leadership engineering squads and product teams guiding the technical roadmap and ensuring we make pragmatic forwardthinking decisions about the architecture. This is a highly impactful role with a direct influence on the continued success and scalability of our platform.
Where youll work
We are looking for a candidate based in or near Warsaw. The role will be primarily remote but regular inoffice collaboration is encouraged to support team engagement and cultural development.
What youll be doing
Lead the design and implementation of a scalable and reliable microservicesbased architecture ensuring it aligns with business goals and supports future growth.
Collaborate with senior leadership engineering teams and product squads to define the technical roadmap and make strategic architectural decisions.
Guide the transition from a monolithic to microservices architecture driving this changes technical and cultural aspects.
Promote and ensure best practices around MongoDB Kafka AWS Docker and Kubernetes across the platform.
Mentor and guide engineering teams fostering a culture of continuous learning collaboration and innovation.
Ensure seamless integration of new architectural components into existing systems working closely with DevOps and product teams.
Communicate architectural decisions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
Stay updated on industry trends evaluating and recommending new technologies that could improve the platforms scalability reliability and performance.
What youll need
Minimum 10 years of software development experience including at least 3 years in an Architect or Principal Engineer role. Strong preference for experience with and TypeScript.
Proven experience leading the transition from monolithic architectures to microservicesbased architectures.
Experience with MongoDB Kafka and any cloud service provider (we use offtheshelf straightforward AWS components)
Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and the ability to see the larger picture when building complex systems.
Excellent problemsolving analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to lead teams effectively and promote a culture of inperson collaboration and knowledge sharing.
