Job Description:
We are currently seeking casual afterhours Cleaners to join our team for 2 weeks in Antigonish. This is a temporary position doing postconstruction cleaning in a retail store for the remainder of May.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting and polishing surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms including toilets sinks and fixtures
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials
- Clean windows glass surfaces and mirrors
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Adhere to health and safety regulations including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in professional cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques equipment and materials is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks including lifting bending and standing for extended periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Flexibility to work during nonstandard hours including evenings and weekends if required
