Job Description
Brief Summary
Due to internal movement we are looking for an individual whos ready to pair a memberfocused approach to service with excellent communication skills! As a Mortgage Servicer and Funder here at Members youll be at the heart of our mortgage servicing operations delivering exceptional support to members internal teams and thirdparty partners. From answering questions to providing funding and postclose services youll play a vital role in ensuring every loan is handled with care precision and professionalism. The person in this role will work from home but is expected to report to our Spirit Valley branch in Duluth MN as needed typically at least one day per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the credit mission vision and values to the full extent.
- Provide prompt professional assistance to resolve mortgage borrower questions/concerns.
- Complete mortgage funding in partnership with other stakeholders.
- Review all loan documentation for accuracy and timely completion.
- Represent the credit union at community and industry events to promote the brand and generate new business.
- Work crossfunctionally with all roles within the mortgage department.
- Stay current on requirements of applicable member services and lending policies and procedures.
- Partner with credit union departments to streamline processes related to the mortgage loan process.
- Providing reporting on loans that require special attention by the Mortgage Servicing Manager.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in accounting or a business related field
- 12 years of financial industry experience preferably in a lending capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated success in a customer/member service role
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner and communicate complex information both verbally and in writing to a variety of stakeholders
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to use tools to perform calculations accurately and effectively
- Must possess or be willing to obtain Minnesota Notary Public
- Experience using DNA and Encompass preferred
Schedule
- Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wage & Hour Details
- Fulltime 40 hrs/wk
- This is hourly
- Starting pay range: $20/hr $24/hr plus incentives pay commensurate with experience
