Class Summary
- This is a parttime position with a maximum of 1508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays leave or benefits.
Job Description
TheParttime Engagement Program Leaderwill be responsible for all of the photography online graphic creation online content creation and social media at the Gwinnett County facilities. This position requires a flexible schedule to include weekend and holiday hours.The ideal candidate must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Duties
- Analyzing data/metrics and creating reports
- Handling graphic creation and updating reports using Microsoft office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Researching and staying on top of current trends
- Staying up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
- Creating creative content for our social media platforms and managing content calendar
- Creating engaging text imaging and video content
- Suggesting new ways to attract prospective customers
- Participating in regular staff meetings and assisting with inservice training
Grade
- The Grade for this position is 97.The salary will be based on education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in parks and recreation tourism marketing social media communication or related field
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- One year of related experience in recreation programming customer service marketing and tourism
- Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
- Bachelors degree in marketing social media communications
- Three years of experience in photography social media and journalism
Other Job Requirements/Information
- This job may require oncall rotation and emergency after hours weekends evenings and/or holidays.
Public Speaking
- Working and speaking at various events in the community representing the department
- Working and speaking with vendors for photography needs
- Training the field staff on social media needs
