Job Description
Summary:
A industry leading transportation company is looking to hire a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This is a fulltime permanent position that offers benefits from day one.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and oversee international and domestic transportation including ocean air and ground freight.
* Manage endtoend shipment life cycle ensuring timely delivery compliance and cost efficiency.
* Collaborate with customers vendors and carriers to maintain visibility and resolve logistics issues.
* Monitor and track shipments providing status updates and maintaining accurate records.
* Analyze and optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Ensure accurate documentation including bills of lading packing slips commercial invoices and delivery orders.
* Coordinate warehousing distribution and inventory management based on customer requirements.
* Process billing for logistics services verifying charges and maintaining billing reports.
* Communicate with international offices and alert management to opportunities or issues.
* Maintain and update standard operating procedures for logistics processes.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* 2 years of experience in transportation and distribution including import processes cargo documentation and inland trucking coordination for LCL/FCL.
* Familiarity with cargo consolidation warehouse distribution (crossdocking segregation) PO management retail distribution and vendor consigned shipments.
* Bilingual in English/Spanish
