In this part time maximum term position (3 days per week negotiable* for six months) youll work within a team to provide case management and safety planning support to women and children who are escaping or experiencing domestic violence within the refuge accommodation program. Please note: the role attracts some minimal rostered oncall responsibilities. As part of our Adas Haven DFV Refuge and Outreach Program youll report to our Team Leader.
* Ideally the preferred working arrangement is Wednesday Friday however there may be capacity for flexibility and extension in these days/hours.

Does this sound like you
Youre an experienced practitioner with high levels of initiative and flexibility alongside cultural sensitivity and knowledge. Youre able to respond calmly and effectively in crisis and complex situations. Importantly you possess a thorough understanding of the impact of domestic violence on women and children and are able to apply this within a traumainformed practice framework.
It is a genuine requirement of this position that it be filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25 104 and 105 of the AntiDiscrimination Act 1991.
