Job Description

Concern Housing is seeking a Program Director to be responsible for all aspects of the program development and operations as well as compliance with state city and federal regulations.

Position: Program Director
Location: Brooklyn NY (Bergen St.)
Schedule: Monday Friday; 9am 5pm
Salary: $80000 $100000/yr.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Oversight of daytoday operations of SPSRO building including supervision of all program social service staff and administrative
assistant. On site liaison with superintendent and property maintenance staff.
Supervision of personnel including taking a lead role in hiring and disciplinary actions; weekly individual/group supervision;
monthly staff meetings.
Oversee all intake procedures including screening of applicants and monthly outcome reporting to HRA DHS and OMH. Maintain
program occupancy rates (>95%).
Work closely with Concerns Affordable Housing Compliance Department to ensure compliance with LIHTC and projectbased
Section 8 regulations including eligibility determination annual certifications and any other reporting requirements as necessary.
Cooperation with outsourced property management personnel re: site maintenance and safety issues as well as the accounting
department to ensure monitoring of rental payment/arrears and assisting special needs tenants with securing and maintaining
entitlements.
Oversee purchasing of program services and supplies within contractual guidelines.
Close coordination with the congregation of St. James Episcopal Church; first point of contact for use of spaces coordination of
activities shared maintenance issues etc.
Crisis Intervention (including 24/7 cell phone coverage).
Conduct continuous needs assessment for program development and evaluation and quality assurance. Closely monitor health care
outcomes of special needs tenants.
Provide staff training and development to ensure suitable implementation and evaluation of evidencebased best practices. Evaluate
staff performance and promote professional growth.
Handle ongoing community relations activities which include program promotion and maintaining a positive relationship with the
neighboring residential and business community.
Collaboration with local hospitals and healthcare/care coordination providers through committees special projects etc. as well as
community outreach.
Close collaboration with DOHMH to ensure successful transition and ongoing rehabilitative of special needs population.
Other tasks as assigned by the Associate Executive Director of NYC Program Operations.

Requirements: Masters Degree in Social Work Rehabilitation Counseling or other related field plus a minimum of five (5) years experience working in a residential setting with similar populations. Must also have a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience or training. LIHTC experience preferred.
