Description

As a global leader in advanced mobility solutions our outstanding team of legal professionals helps us navigate the continually changing legal and regulatory landscape. In our Office of General Counsel youll be part of an organization that collaborates with outside counsel to operate as a global team and deliver worldclass legal tax and audit services to client groups throughout the company.

In this position

This position is for a Manufacturing Security Operations Supervisor and focuses on delivering the security strategy and industry best practices at our Michigan Wayne Assembly Plant.



Responsibilities

What youll do

  • Support the manufacturing team to supervise security and fire operations for manufacturing sites to include staffing requirements access control CCTV monitoring fire inspections and emergency support.
  • Assist with special projects and security initiatives including GAO audits AON fire inspection audits daily plant walks etc.
  • Supervise a team of direct and matrix reports.
  • Develop monthly security awareness communications to be provided to employees.
  • Oversee daytoday security operations including contract security personnel. Enforce the Service Level Agreement with the provider including identifying and escalating performance issues.
  • Enforce Security and Fire manual bulletins and protocols to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with risk assessments of sites to determine if the operational model is adequate for site integrity.
  • May perform the role of Incident Commander for emergencies.
  • Respond to security and fire incidents to include medical behavioral fire trespassing accidents suspicious activity thefts etc. Escalate appropriately to the Regional Security Manager.
  • Enhance emergency response capabilities by utilizing incident response tools and through the deployment of emergency response equipment for the company or local municipalities.
  • Collaborate with People Matters Human Resources Labor Relations and Safety representatives as necessary to discuss and resolve workplace issues.
  • Identify and escalate physical security gaps through proactive security initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal skill teams to ensure unified alignment with all security and fire related matters.
  • Collaborate with appropriate internal Ford skill teams and external work partners to plan for and provide security coverage for special events.


Qualifications

Youll have

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in law enforcement or military.
  • 3 years experience leading and developing teams.
  • Highly motivated handson selfstarter with ability to think creatively and operate in a dynamic ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills (soft skills).
  • Ability to multitask strong problemsolving conflict management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal team building and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Establish priorities under changing conditions.
    • Exhibit calm rational behavior under stressful conditions.
    • Administer duties and responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Show initiative and leadership.
  • Available to work 24x7 365 days a year.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills; ability to navigate department technology platforms.
  • Must possess a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and demonstrate firearm proficiency as a condition of hire.

Even better you may have

  • Seven (7) years supervisory experience.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Knowledge of Global Security site security and fire operations.
  • Possess a working knowledge of emergency response levels.
  • Experience in using data to drive strategy
  • Deliver results according to the Ford OS Behaviors.
