Summary
- POSITION INFORMATION
- Position summary:
- The Perioperative Educator is responsible for the clinical education of all staff members within the Operating Room and Perioperative areas including orientation for new hires and transfers; responsible for promoting the growth and development of the staff through inservice programs instruction role modeling and consultations; works as a resource person for staff by providing current information based on literature; disseminates current nursing research which provides a foundation for best practice within the perioperative settings.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
Required length and type of experience:- Expert perioperative nurse with a minimum of 57 years of experience
Required licensure certification or registry:- CNOR required
- Current license by Ohio State Board of Nursing
- BLS & ACLS certification
