As a Product Manager in the Pricing Profitability and Forecasting Algorithms team youll help build and scale machine learning and economicsbased products that guide Wayfairs commercial strategy. Our portfolio spans pricing cost prediction competitive intelligence demand forecasting and new product success predictioninfluencing decisioning on billions in revenue.
These products guide highstakes decisions across pricing marketing inventory planning and supplier negotiations. Youll work crossfunctionally with engineers data scientists and business stakeholders to shape highleverage products that are trusted explainable and impactful. This is an ideal role for analytically strong solutionoriented PMs looking to grow their ownership and impact in a highly technical domain.
What Youll Do
- Shape the roadmap and own delivery for ML and economics products powering pricing inventory or profitability decisions.
- Translate model outputs into productiongrade signals used across marketing sort supplier negotiations and pricing.
- Define product requirements and collaborate with science and engineering to deliver scalable solutions.
- Bridge business and technical teams to drive adoption and ensure solutions meet operational needs.
- Use data and structured analysis to break down problems test hypotheses and inform product decisions.
- Communicate decisions tradeoffs and outcomes to a broad set of stakeholders.
- Set and track success metrics to guide ongoing iteration.
Were A Match Because You Have
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g. Computer Science Economics Statistics Engineering).
- 3 years of experience in product management data science or analytics preferably involving machine learning/AI or largescale data systems.
- Experience defining product requirements and collaborating with technical and business partners to deliver impactful solutions.
- Comfort breaking down ambiguous problems using data hypotheses and structured problem solving.
- Ability to partner with engineering and data science teams to scope implement and iterate on algorithmic or datapowered products.
- Ability to define KPIs and interpret experimental or observational results
- Effective at translating technical concepts and influencing crossfunctional stakeholders including nontechnical audiences.
