Position Overview

As an Electrical Test Engineer at Spirit you will be developing complete test solutions for functional and accelerated testing of EEE components semiconductors and circuit card assemblies. You will be a key member of the team to take the customer requirements and translate them into PCB design test hardware configuration and the code to tie it all together. Experience with a wide variety of different components test requirements and testing environments is key due to the diverse customer base and applications spanning the gamut of military aero and space that Spirit sees every day. You will be developing tests utilizing oscilloscopes multimeters signal generators power supplies etc. for a variety of requirements from continuity to burn in to advanced ASIC functional testing and everything in between depending on the customer and the components.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive test solutions including fixtures test boards and hardware integration.
  • Develop schematics for PCB layouts load boards and probe cards including simulation layout and debugging.
  • Create and execute test plans for functional environmental and accelerated stress testing (e.g. Burnin HAST).
  • Develop and debug test programs using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) such as Advantest Verigy and benchlevel instruments (oscilloscopes multimeters signal generators power supplies).
  • Design voltage biasing and current monitoring circuits for use in burnin and environmental test hardware.
  • Collaborate with customers and crossfunctional teams to define test requirements and deliver technical reports.
  • Lead daytoday test lab operations including workflow ownership process improvement and resource planning.
  • Ensure strict compliance with ESD controls traveler documentation and applicable quality standards (AS9100 ISO9001).
  • Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports with results root cause analysis and recommendations.
  • Support calibration efforts preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives in the lab.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 35 years of handson experience in electronics or semiconductor component testing.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuit analysis and industrystandard test methodologies.
  • Familiarity with MILSTD test procedures and aerospace/defense testing standards.
  • Experience working with semiconductors including memory Flash ADC/DACs RF components and ASICs.
  • Proficient with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes signal generators power supplies and environmental chambers.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reporting and team collaboration.
  • Detailoriented with a disciplined approach to documentation and quality control.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems for test documentation and data analysis.


Preferred Requirements

  • Advanced degree or technical certifications in electronics systems testing or a related field.
  • Experience with foundrylevel test environments or secure defenserelated testing.
  • Programming or scripting experience for test automation (e.g. Python LabVIEW C/C).
  • Familiarity with environmental testing standards such as thermal cycling and vibration.
