BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Quality Technician requires maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials inprocess production and finished products; recording quality results. This position requires an exceptional listener with excellent time management verbal communication and presentation skills. Integrity vision and dedication are essential for this role.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing PPAPs and submitting them to customers
  • Responding to customer complaints and implementing the Corrective Actions
  • Reviewing industry specifications and prints
  • Reviewing and submitting data through the IMDS system
  • Providing support for Suppliers for PPAP IMDS and 8D questions
  • Maintaining updating and/or creating procedures for Quality Dept. processes
  • Maintains ISO Processes and Procedures for all departments
  • Assists with projects working with process implementation design flow and function
  • Plays an integral part in APQP process
  • Aids in customer visits regarding quality issues
  • Create schedules for ISO departmental internal audits and perform audits as scheduled. Submits results to Executive team
  • Maintains CQIs
  • Work with project team to identify analyze and recommend changes for continuous improvement
  • Participates in New Part Launch meetings
  • Participates in conference calls to resolve quality issues
  • Performing incoming inspections on parts when necessary
  • Provides coverage for Quality Manager
  • ISO Compliance
  • Trade Show Attendance and or Supplier visits
  • 100% Adherence to NonNegotiable Rules
  • Attend Periodic Training when Applicable
  • Participating in Special projects and Perform Additional Duties as directed by Quality Manager
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSCs vision and unity of purpose.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree or minimum five years of Industrial Quality Program Management.

    SKILLS:
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent detail orientation
  • Effective problem identification and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work with others
  • Advanced Blueprint Reading (Engineered drawings and specifications)
  • Effective followup skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Fluent in all Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Outlook Excel and PowerPoint.
