Class Summary
Job Description
The Program Leader will be a crucial point of contact for citizens responding to their questions and concerns about our recreational programs. This ideal candidate will interface with the public and facilitate services and communication between patrons and athletics associations warming station staff community navigators and other agency partners. Additionally this position will be responsible for creating wellstructured schedules for the programs and activities assigned to community members.Essential Duties
- Maintainsuptodate documentation of daily program activities class registrations attendance records daily deposits and facility usage
- Promotesassigned programs by speaking at events and sharing marketing materials
- Manages customerinquiries staff community groups and facility operations including summer activities and workshops
- Manages all community rentals of gymnasiums fields tennis courts activity rooms pavilions and outdoor spaces
- Preparing and maintaining various records and financial reports
- Assisting with special events and programming
- Performing other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned
Grade
- The Grade for this position is B22(1). The salary will be based on education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in parks and recreation health and human services or a related fieldAND
- One year of related experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid drivers license
- CPR Certification within 6 months
- First Aid Certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
- Two years of recreation support experience
- CPR and First Aid within the first 6 months of employment
Other Job Requirements/Information
- Must be able to work a variety of hours weekends daytime evenings and holidays
Public Speaking
- Communicates and interacts with coworkers supervisor general public etc. using interpersonal skills sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
