Job Description
Dimmitt Chevrolet a world class family owned dealership for over 100 yearsis seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our busy Office team. The right individual will need to have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fastpaced environment. This is a fulltime position approximately 40 hours per week.
Accounting Clerk Requirements:
- Basic accounting background
- High School Diploma or some college
- Minimum 1 year of billing and/or accounting experience
- Automotive dealership experience is preferred
- Familiarity with ADP/CDK Dealership Management System helpful
- Professional and positive demeanor
Experience with any of the following helpful:
- Daily bank deposits
- Stock in New and Used vehicle inventory
- New Used and Wholesale billing
- Submit 3rd party warranties and reconcile monthly statement
- Handle all warranty and aftermarket cancellations
- Process lien payoffs and weowes
- Post daily funding notices to general ledger
- Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules on a daily weekly and monthly basis
- Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned to include light filing
- Assist with month end close
- Assist with accounts receivable/payable special projectsand transfer titles and registrations
