At Sylvan West Covina we believe in the power of passionate educators. Our instructors enjoy what they do best: just teaching. No grading no prep workjust meaningful instruction using proven Sylvan curriculum in a small group setting (3:1 studentteacher ratio).
Were currently hiringMath Instructors to support students primarily in middle school and high school mathincluding Algebra Geometry Trigonometry and Calculus. While math students will be the priority instructors may also be scheduled to work with students in reading writing and test prep across grades K12 depending on availability and center needs.

Required:
Algebra I & II
Geometry
Trigonometry
PreCalculus & Calculus
SAT/ACT Math Prep
Additional support in Reading and K12 enrichment as needed
Optional:

What Youll Do:
Deliver personalized instruction using Sylvan curriculum
Motivate and engage students in a supportive setting
Track and celebrate student progress
Communicate student needs to the Center Director
Foster a fun positive learning environment
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred
Strong content knowledge in upperlevel math
Previous teaching or tutoring experience (2 years preferred)
Comfortable working with students of all ages (K12)
Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills
Passion for helping students succeed
Compensation:
Starting at $19/hour depending on experience
