In this role you will:

• Design build and deploy LLMpowered applications using modern AI frameworks like LangChain LlamaIndex or Haystack.
• Develop RAG pipelines agentic AI workflows and prompt engineering strategies to support scalable AI solutions.
• Build robust scalable APIs and microservices to power intelligent userfacing features.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to move quickly from concept to MVP with an iterative and agile approach.
• Leverage vector databases (e.g. FAISS Pinecone Weaviate) and embeddings to support retrievalbased AI systems.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate largescale datasets and optimize model performance.
• Ensure best practices around software development version control CI/CD and model deployment.
• Explore and experiment with tools like OpenAI Cursor Claude Hugging Face Anthropic and opensource LLMs for optimal use cases.
• Stay ahead of trends in GenAI and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and innovation culture.
• Champion role model and embed Samsaras cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success Build for the Long Term Adopt a Growth Mindset Be Inclusive Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
• 4 years of software development experience.
• 3 years working with large datasets data pipelines and distributed systems.
• Proven experience building and deploying Generative AI applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python or similar.
• Experience with LLMs vector databases GenAI frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals scalable systems and SDLC best practices.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and backend services.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills especially within crossfunctional teams.

An ideal candidate also has:

• Experience working with opensource LLMs (Mistral LLaMA Falcon etc.) and customizing/tuning models.
• Handson experience with finetuning embedding generation and custom model orchestration.
• Familiarity with MLOps Docker Kubernetes and model deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of AI safety observability and guardrail implementation.
• Experience in rapid prototyping environments and shipping 01 AI features or products.
• Background in search recommendation systems or knowledge graphs is a plus.
