Job Description
THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This Human Relations Representative 1 position enforces the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act by investigating and conciliating complaints of discrimination primarily in employment and public accommodations which are alleged to have occurred because of a protected class such as race color sex national origin ancestry religious creed age familial status disability and/or retaliation.
You will assess jurisdiction draft and investigate complaints of discrimination and serve as the facilitator of the settlement process by communicating settlement proposals. Work also involves performing initial contact calls to ensure service documents have been received monitoring that all answers and documents are received within appropriate timeframes and assisting the legal department in cases that requires further processing. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) parttime up to three days per week. In order to telework you must have a securely configured highspeed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office inHarrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Human Relations Representative Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of professional administrative investigative criminal investigative regulatory investigative civil rights or human rights experience involving gathering evidence interviewing and reporting investigative findings; and a bachelors degree that includes 12 credits in human resources labor management relations civil rights social work social justice public policy public administration or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience that includes 12 college credits in human resources labor management relations civil rights social work social justice public policy public administration or a related field.
Other Requirements:
