Job Description
Infosys is seeking GIS Principal Consultant with strong utility and GIS domain background in playing a technofunctional lead role in implementing GIS solutions for Electric Utilities in a multitechnology platform that includes ESRI ArcGIS and ArcFM. You should have experience in implementing GIS solutions in North American Utility markets. Experience in implementing GIS systems will be an added advantage. You should have experience of playing the GIS Functional lead role for 15 years. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of San Francisco CA or be willing to relocate to this area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Alternatively three years of progressive experience in the specialty for each year of education.
At least 11 years of experience in Information Technology.
Ability to lead the design build test and deploy solutions on Esri platforms.
Expertise in leading Technical Designs and Functional workshops with customers.
Knowledge of integration patterns with other systems (e.g. SAP) is essential.
Capability to run functional workshops with business for GIS requirements and perform demos using GIS products.
Skill in mapping customer requirements to products and suggesting suitable solutions.
Ability to create ASIS and TOBE process documents identify gaps and suggest customizations using the GIS framework.
Proficiency in developing functional design documents from Functional specification documents and configuring packages to meet project requirements.
Experience in capturing product configurations and creating configuration documents for developers.
Ability to guide mentor and review endtoend solutions and resolve issues during support/PostGo Live phases.
Familiarity with Agile/SAFe Methodologies.
Collaboration with business stakeholders to implement deploy and support geostatistical analysis geoprocessing and geocoding tools.
Preferred Experiences:
15 years of GIS industry experience and expertise in ESRI technologies.
Experience in at least 4 fullcycle implementations for utilities (Power/Water/Sewer) with handson functional and deployment experience in GIS.
Strong knowledge of GIS Esri suite of solutions and development experience (web patterns).
Prior knowledge of Esri Capacity planning tools including ArcGIS Server Portal for ArcGIS Widgets (and Custom Widgets) FME and deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise Solutions.
Indepth understanding of Esri Utility Data Models aligned to North American standards.
Familiarity with Esri Utility Network solutions and Data Models.
Knowledge of integration patterns with other systems (including Serviceoriented architecture patterns) with GIS (e.g. SAP).
Experience with process integration of GIS with other utility enterprise and operational systems such as WMIS CIS Synergee etc.
Ability to create ASIS and TOBE models conduct CRPs and perform product fitment.
Experience in leading development teams working with client teams/SMEs and guiding them through the project lifecycle.
Strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills.
Support for crossfunctional IT projects relying heavily on GIS technology.
Expertise in spatial data management handling disparate datasets and tying them spatially.
Experience in supporting geostatistical analysis geoprocessing and geocoding tools.
Familiarity with Agile/SAFe software development methodologies.
Good knowledge of the Utilities Industry.
Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
Working experience in AutoCAD Map3D.
Knowledge of FME.
Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise on Cloud (AWS).
Proficiency in Oracle and Windows Server AD.
Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
