Job Description
St. John Vianney Catholic School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable fulltime middle school teacher to join our team for theschool year. This position teaches science and social studies to students in grades 68 and is part of a collaborative middle school Responsibilities:Support and uphold the mission of St. John Vianney Catholic School: We educate compassionate knowledgeable students to follow the path of Jesus science using the Cereal City Science curriculum aligned with NGSS and diocesan standardsTeach social studies in alignment with diocesan and state standards incorporating Catholic values and historical thinking skillsFacilitate engaging inquirybased and studentcentered learning experiencesPromote curiosity critical thinking and faithintegrated instruction across both subjectsCollaborate with middle school colleagues to support students academic social and spiritual growthQualifications:Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. John VianneyBachelors degree in education science history or a related field (required)Valid Michigan teaching certification with CQ or RX endorsement or willingness to complete the MTTC in the appropriate subject areaOpen to candidates with relevant experience who are enrolled in or willing to pursue an approved alternative teacher preparation programStrong classroom management and a desire to work as part of a supportive faithfilled teamJoin a joyful school community where students are known loved and challenged to apply please send your resume and letter of interest to:Jenna Mastellone (616)ext. 301
