Job Description
Location:
8162 S Priest Dr Tempe Arizona 85284 United States of AmericaUnder the direction of the Lead Drafter prepare clear complete and accurate sketches layouts and drawings of assemblies subassemblies and all engineering papers and notices in accordance with standard drafting procedures. Work in support of Engineering particularly and other departments and required.
Essential Duties
- Reasonable and predictable attendance is essential.
- Prepare drawings final drawing revisions part lists list of materials diagrams maps charts schematics layouts assemblies Engineering Change Requests Engineering Change Notices and New Drawing Releases.
- Drawings may require tolerance computing estimating and the application of mechanical and electrical principles.
- Maintain and use appropriate equipment files and machines including computeraided design equipment.
- Make engineering drafts and drawings in accordance with he standard drafting procedures as to line work dimensions tolerances and formal layouts in the proper view indication fasteners and joining requirements and other engineering data.
- Draft multipleview assembly and subassembly drawings as required for the manufacture and repair of product lines.
- Check drawings for space and location arrangement.
- Read interpret and draw sketches drawings layouts and schematics. Prepare diagrams graphs maps charts and isometrics.
- Make final sketch of proposed drawings checking dimension of parts materials to be used relation of one part or another and relation of various parts to whole structure. Check and correct drawing errors make necessary notes for revision and make necessary drawing changes.
- Incorporate approved Engineering Change Notices into affected drawings. Perform all drafting generated by New Drawing Releases.
- Perform mathematical computations such as tolerance checks weight of part studies etc.
- Understand and communicate sequence of assembly and installation practices.
Education/Training Requirements
- High School Education plus specialized courses in drafting or the equivalent in experience.
Experience
- 45 years
Skills/Required Knowledge/Tools
- Knowledge of design techniques tools and principled involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models.
- Knowlege of practical application of engineering science and technology; to include applying the principles techniques procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Tools/Machinery: Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment and software; personal computer; telephone; fax machine; photocopier.
