Job Description
As the Corporate and Retail Events Technology Senior Specialist youll be responsible for supporting the teams growing needs in event technology. Youll oversee the event technology logistical elements for mid to large sized events including detailed data management complex scheduling assignments building Cvent websites and event apps and setting up and running ondemand badge printing onsite. You will work closely with the event lead and key business partners to ensure the success of the overall event.
This role is hybrid which means you will be required to work some days onsite at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other nonBest Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What youll do
- Project manage event technology for mid to large scale events with the ability to multitask across several events seamlessly including managing competing deadlines.
- Event coordination including all aspects of event technology management such as managing reports building registration sites and email communication building event apps managing and maintaining attendee data scheduling of complex agendas setup and onsite management of ondemand badge printing and onsite support where applicable.
- Team collaboration in support of mid to largescale complex events as part of a broader planning team.
- Commitment to seek out new technology share best practices and grow a large range of skills to maintain versatility.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business partners and vendors.
- 2 years of experience in meeting or event industry
- 2 years of experience utilizing event technology
- 2 years of attendee and/or event data management experience
- Intermediate level Microsoft Outlook Word and PowerPoint
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to travel for events and occasionally work nights and weekends
- 3 years of experience in meeting or event industry
- Cvent experience
- Graphic Design experience
- Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Live experience
