Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Alphazyme a Maravai Life Science company is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Facilities team as a Laboratory Maintenance Associate. As a Laboratory Maintenance Associate you will play a critical role in maintaining the uninterrupted operation of the Companys laboratories including R&D Manufacturing and Quality Control environments. Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workspace ensuring the availability of laboratory supplies performing routine maintenance on instruments and equipment and ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
How you will make an impact:
- Daily cleaning of glassware including loading/unloading dishwasher
- Washing certain glassware by hand when needed
- Ability to follow written procedures for completion of associated tasks
- Daily sterilization of laboratory supplies using autoclave
- Restocking of laboratory supplies
- Periodic freezer defrosting
- Wiping down/cleaning of laboratory equipment
- Refilling water carboys
- Support formulations and buffer solution preparation and logistics as required
- Assist In maintaining safe workplace environment and safety systems as necessary
- Performs other functions and duties as required
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- 1 year of experience in a scientific industry or academic setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to organize tasks and work independently; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to work safely alone and in team environment.
- Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or ISO 13485 environment is desired but not required.
