Job Description
Atlas Tech a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities is seeking a passionate flexible highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. If you are comfortable in intense fast paced environments can think fast on your feet and excel in teambased collaborative efforts then this may be the right fit for you.
We are seeking a Wide Area Network (WAN) Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience working with Software Defined Networking (SDN). You will develop operate and maintain complex technology systems using engineering principles theories and concepts and evolve them with advanced technology solutions onsite in the San Diego CA area.
Pay Range: $102000 to $164000 depending on experience and education.
You Will:
- Design and implement softwaredefined networking solutions.
- Perform systems engineering services in all phases of a project life cycle.
- Develop and maintain technical system documentation related to system configuration troubleshooting and traceability.
- Provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology.
- Provide technical leadership within a team of both government and industry in the planning investigation design and implementation of physical and logical WAN routing and networking solutions.
- Develop SDN solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancements.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as needed.
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- A Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim clearance prior to hire date.
- Strong foundation in networking.
- Indepth knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and other Cisco SDN components.
- Proficiency in network security principles and access control policies to include multicast.
- Minimum of six (6) years experience engineering solutions for one or more of the following technologies: Cisco Switches Cisco Routers Cisco Firewalls Cisco ISE Juniper.
- Experience in engineering and administering WAN solutions.
- Experience in Quality of Service (QoS) technology engineering.
- The ability to work in a dynamic highpaced team environment.
- Experience with automation software such as Ansible or Python.
- Experience with MS Visio software.
Certifications:
- AIT Level II Security Certification (CySA GICSP GSEC Security CE or SCCP)
- Cisco OS Certification; (CCNA CCNP CCNP Security CCIE Security or similar certifications)
Wed Be Impressed If You Had:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or another STEM field
- Experience supporting the engineering of DOD Afloat Network Systems such as CANES ADNS CENTRIXS SCI Networks SUBLAN
- Relevant SDN certification
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification
- Experience with US Navy RF systems
- Data Center Networking experience
- Solutions Development experience
- Network DEVOPS experience
